Ken Eisner is the Chief Film Critic for the Georgia Straight, Vancouver’s news and entertainment weekly, and has been a contributing editor there since 1987. From 1990 to 2006, he was the Pacific Northwest’s only contributor to Variety, publishing reviews, news, and features in the daily and weekly formats. As a freelance arts journalist, his reviews, profiles, photographs, and illustrations have also appeared in such publications as POV, Playback, McClean’s, Guitar Player, DownBeat, and The San Francisco Bay Guardian. His views on movies and more have been heard nationally on CBC TV and radio, as well community stations in the Vancouver area and beyond.
